Late is better than never!
Chase and I went for a Sunday drive on Sunday of course
He does not enjoy the car so I am attempting to get him use to it!
He has a hammock in the back so he does not fall in between the seats. I just bought him a new fuzzy blanket so he can use it in the car π
We stopped at a long farm road, a covered bridge and a lake
The idea was to get Chase out of the car and out for a walk around so he knew good things can come from car rides π
The first stop he ran as far away as possible from the car and did not want to go back in.
The next two stops he stood at the bottom of the car door when I opened it and waited for me to pick him up! He has never done this before so it was a big step!
Hopefully I can get him to not run away from the door to the house when he hears me grab the keys to the car π
We r the same way. We hate car rides. Mommy has to carry us in and out of the car.
Glad to know it’s a common thing!
Hopefully he will figure out it takes him fun places!
Your Pals,
Murphy & Stanley
Hopefully!
I’m with you… I dislike this rolling cages and my dad has to carry me in and out. To go out of the car works good… but to go in is a challenge :o)
LOL
Sam loves the idea of going in the car but as soon as the key is turned, he goes all Flat Stanley and I never see his head until we reach our destination. He pops out forgetting his terrible 20 minute ride and enthusiastically hops in when we leave the hospital. Every. time. Hopefully with treats and encouragement, it’ll get better with practice. π
LOL, hopefully!
